Gradual tan body lotions

Tomorrowisanewday · 19/05/2018 10:58

My skin tone is close to blue, but I have to wear dresses to a couple of work meetings in the next few weeks that dont suit opaque tights. I thought about trying one of the body lotions that build up colour gradually, could anyone recommend one they think works please?

The Dove one is excellent. Realistic colour and really moisturising too.
I use the darker one but you may be more comfortable with the lighter one to start with.

Btw, my natural hue is blue-white too!

I'm v pale and I've always got on well with Dove. This year though, it's too orangey and v patchy. I don't know if they've changed the formula or something but I'm going to try a different brand because it's been rubbish.

Really mostdays? That’s disappointing. I’m using up my stash from last year so haven’t found that.

I've been using bondi sands gradual tan which has been quite nice and doesn't smell as terrible as some.

I'm very pale and love the Garnier one. Very gentle build up and a natural glow. I highly recommend.

I'm using granite summer one. Works just fine however this year I am finding the fake tan chemical smell in it quite strong which is putting me off. No problems with the colour though.

Might also be worth considering something like Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs (under a tenner, Boots, Superdrug). It’s instant colour and also blurs veins, scars, blemishes etc. They do light, medium, dark shades. It’s very easy to apply and won’t come off unless you use soap and a flannel so don’t worry about rain, sweat etc....

Garnier

Just don't use the Palmers one!!! Streaky as hell and bright orange lol

Cat12321 · 19/05/2018 11:42

I'm also on team Dove! I always exfoliate in the shower first too Smile

JennyHolzersGhost · 19/05/2018 11:47

I’m also using up last year’s Dove. It doesn’t streak for me unless I put too much on in one go. A bit each day for several days builds up nicely and evens out any uneven distribution.

Bondi Sands here too. Smells lush and warms up my pasty pins nicely.

Cat12321 · 19/05/2018 14:22

I'd 100% avoid the Palmer's Cocoa Butter one! It was a catastrophe when I used it a few weeks ago. SO patchy and way too dark for me Grin

Thank you all, I'll pick one up tomorrow, and see how I get on.
