Make Up Overhaul Recommendations

Hi,

I've just got a new managerial office job and need a more refined look.

What products would people recommend as essentials to overhaul my make up bag. I've always used No.7 but find my foundation looks cakey.

I'm quite red toned with dry skin. I also have pretty but small eyes I'd like to make pop and nice lips which are my favourite feature

Would love to hear people's must have foundation, blush, eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick.

Thank you!

Start with skincare - a good exfoliator and moisturiser. Highly recommend visiting a Clinique counter - I have dry skin and the cakey foundation problem. I bought their clarifying lotion and moisture burst cream and now all my foundations sit very well on my face. Applying it over dead skin which there will be more of as you’re dry) makes it look cakey.

Then look at your makeup requirements. For the job you describe I’d recommend Bobbi Brown if there’s a counter near you, they focus on the more natural look which is more suited to work. Great products even though they’re on the ££ side. They also do makeup lessons for free.

Thank you! I will get down to Clarins and Bobbi Brown. I think there's both in my local House of Fraser. I definitely could do with improving my skin care and have a make up lesson!!
