10 weeks until wedding - help me, S&B!

We're getting married 10 weeks tomorrow and I'm starting to think about what needs to be done to make sure I look my very best. Dress alterations are in a month so trying to keep lowish carb, and then maintain after that.

At the moment I'm still just doing my regular cleansing and moisturising routine so nothing special. What do I need to think about?

Things I have on my list so far:

  • Body brushing/exfoliation of some kind and moisturising? Any recommendations?
  • Nail appointment the day before
  • Facial maybe? I've never been for one before... is that a bad idea?
  • Getting my eyebrows shaped three days before
  • Maybe try and get hold of some Crest white strips? Have used them before and they've worked well

Is there anything else I'm missing?

Won't the facial bring on zits? That's all I can think of,I didn't do anything for my wedding except buy some expensive make up (Dior). DD only bothered getting her nails done the day before.

Youre totally overthinking this

I would be a bit careful if you've never had one before, as sometimes they can cause impurities to start coming out. I probably wouldn't use any different skin care, as you wouldn't want to irritate your skin.

Enjoy the build up and your big day Smile

Start using a facewash designed for acne-prone skin on your back to make sure your skin is nice and clear. I think you can get away with using a cheaper/harsher one on your back than you might risk on your face. I used the neutrogena pink grapefruit one and it worked fine. Also smelled lovely and zingy in the shower.

Fair enough re the facial, I was wondering if it might be a bit much but keeps gettin recommended on the wedding blogs I've been perusing Grin

Probably does seem a bit much @sayimadreamer - I'm not a big beauty fanatic in day to day life but like to make an effort for holidays and special occasions so thought I'd ramp it up a little! My self esteem is a tad on the low side so was more looking for ways to feel like I was really shining on the day above and beyond my usual routine, that's all Smile

@Scribblegirl maybe do things that will make you feel really relaxed and confident (budget depending)? I would probably use a body brush twice a day, as it can improve cellulite; go for massages to relax; remember suncream as it's so sunny at the moment to avoid burning/peeling; regularly use Flexitol hand and nail cream, as I get sore (and unsightly!) skin around my nails.

Are you all organised for the big day?
