Enormous stomach - what can I wear

Itscurtainsforyou · 16/05/2018 22:14

Very bloated stomach at the moment - rest of body is 18-20 but stomach is so big I struggle to get s22 trousers to fit.
It's happened out of nowhere, so usual tops that stop at hip level make me look so much worse.

Can anyone suggest some tunics/dresses or other suggestions that I can wear so it's not so obvious?

I feel your pain, although I am now a bit slimmer, your friends are 50s dresses, have a look at Lindy bop. If you have big boobs go up as size. Skater dresses are also flattering

Thanks - I can't do anything with a waist, makes me look massive. My stomach sticks out almost as far as my boobs. I wore a skater dress to the beach last week and looked awful.

@Itscurtainsforyou have you been to the drs?

cannotmakemymindup · 17/05/2018 00:56

Did this happen rapidly?
If yes do go to doctors and get yourself checked for ovarian cancer. I think there was another poster on Mn who had similar symptoms and it was.

Apologies if that is completely out of the ballpark for you. And I know you were asking for beauty tips so sorry for derailing.

Yes worth going to the GP if it's come from nowhere just to get checked over.

I have name changed to say the same thing. A couple of years ago, I put on a lot of weight around my tummy. Dismissed it as middle aged spread. Then my periods became frequent, irregular and painful - put it down to menopause. Then the pain got worse, went to a&e, turned out I had a large ovarian cyst that had been growing for some time. It was benign, thankfully. Most are. But it needed to come out. Please get checked out.

Oh and I wasn't even menopausal.

Thanks all. It's crossed my mind. I had a similar thing next year but it turned out to be nothing. Might be worth going just in case.
