Control wear/corsetry

I have a fitting for my wedding dress coming up and the dress is perfect, except it doesn’t have a great internal corset around the waist (bust support is great though).

I think I want an underbust corset, possibly? No idea where to go to find one though. Proper corset websites are a bit overwhelming, and maybe I just need a cracking high waisted pair of pants (romantic...). I’m in London, but happy to travel. Is Rigby and Peller still the best place? Will pay up to about £200 if I have to - I want a waist!

I'd go and get fitted. If you can get yourself to a local corset shop it's probably cheaper than Rigby and Peller! (although if you want that shopping experience then go for it!)

Vollers are very well respected as are Snobs corsets- both tend to be carried as ranges in corset shops and do their job perfectly whilst being surprisingly comfortable.

You definitely need to try before you buy.

What is the best way to go about finding a decent corset shop? Sorry, I’m not good at new things, and I’m worried.

If you're in London you're spoiled for choice.

What Katie Did, Burleska, Fairy Gothmother are all fairly upmarket and easy to find.

A lot of the goth shops will carry them as well- you could pick up a bargain, so keep an eye out and pop in for a browse.

And honestly- corset fitters have seen it ALL. So just go and be amazed at what it can do for your figure!
