Top alternatives - inbetween sizes!

I have found the perfect cami top, but i must be inbetween sizes. The one that fits best on my hips is big on the straps!!
Can anyone find me something similar!

Could you buy to fit on your hips and then alter the straps. Can't imagine it would be that difficult. Love the top, by the way.
