I have just found these and wonder if they are any good, have bought a d.e.t.a.i.l.s INTL one, it is washable which makes me think not very waterproof so not sure whether to return it.

I was thinking of keeping it for days out but if I am going to get soaked while wearing it I can't see the point.

Your thoughts please?

I've got similar. They're certainly showerproof if you get caught out but they wouldn't withstand exposure to prolonged heavy rain.

I take mine out a lot. It is useful to have when you can't be sure what the weather's going to do. I'd keep it.

Thank you Grin I like the design on it which makes me want to keep it, but am still trying to justify another jacket.

I have one from regatta that is windproof and a proper waterproof. In fact I have two - one navy floral and the other green. Plus you don’t overheat in the.

@MrsPear, does the Regatta one fold up into a pocket size?

I had one from TopShop some time ago that was allegedly waterproof which I wore to an outdoor concert and I got drenched so am a bit wary of the one I have. If there is a better one I am very interested.

I have one for when it's heavy rain and I'm pushing a pram.

You fold them into one of the pockets. I think they call them pack a away jackets - I call them pac a macs. My children have them too.i agree they are not the most stylish but I am dry!

Here is plainer version

ToadOfSadness · 16/05/2018 17:31

Thank you, that looks more useful than the one I have.
