Desperate for ' casual wear' for my shape! help!

I need your help ladies..

I work from home and am not often in public through the week at all, bar mums taxi and groceries etc..
I could technically not get dressed most days!
Of course I do , but I'm really struggling with on tend , casual wear for through the week
I know what I like and I know what suits..
Now unfortunately - my shape doesn't help.
I'm 5'8 , but a 16-18 with big belly and heavy legs. I'm working on the belly, but my legs - no chance.
Even much slimmer , I've always felt like a bag of spanners in casual wear - it just doesn't suit - I need thicker, fitter, structured etc.
I need to cover my legs - skirts/ dresses need to be midi length or pencil ( winter is FAB because casual dress and tights are perfect )
But IT"S NOT WINTER..
I think my ideal would be skinnies ( hate leggings, but ) and slouchy tops or casual dresses..
But honestly I can't show my legs minus tights ( lumpy veins, wobbles/cellulite ) - trousers, I cannot find a pair that fits, so immediately uncomfortable , belly falling out blah blah..
I just want to feel confident / semi groomed and not a bag of spanners!
Trainers - I don't wear - again - I'm 5'8 but relatively short legs - I look and feel dumpy in them - the ' sports luxe' vibe would be perfect, practically but MEH.
In a total rut!
Oh wise MN'ers - been here nearly 17 years and this is my first S&B post, I'm desperate..

I think I may have your legs. I am roughly the same size as you and live in yoga pants and t-shirts in the summer and long sleeved tops in winter. The great thing about yoga pants is that you can put a nice top and heels and they don't look out of place

How about some loose lightweight jersey trousers-wide leg ones that is and hip length tops. Other options are cropped leggings with trapeze-a-line swing tunics. That way you are cool and comfortable. Converse are flattering with these looks as are sandals.

Some people are not suited to a very casual look but you can achieve similar levels of comfort but look more put together by picking the right lines/fabric for your figure to my mind. I feel scruffy in joggers etc personally.

I have recently bought a summer capsule from here (jd williams/simply be) and have found the following good buys-

trousers

tunic

tunics

vest

Go down a size in everything and two in the trousers if you try them. The trousers look really poufy at the front in the picture but are much flatter in reality. Just get rid of the belt as it adds unnecessary bulk.

Also good are Next for their jersey denim leggings this year. I bought the bleach ones and they are really flattering, comfortable and look like real jeans. They are pull on so no bulk from buttons etc. Other good stuff I have found from Next are their cropped leggings, longline vests and tan two part sandals.

I also bought (from jd williams) their hanky hem tops and just kept the plain black and navy ones. I don’t do any other patterns apart from strips so gave the others away. The boxy oversized black top is good too for a chuck it on and forget about it offering.

jersey denim jeans.

I really rate these sandals too. I went for wide fit and they are comfortable for all day wear and go with nigh on everything.
