I've never been a seller, but I used to buy a lot of high end items when I earnt a lot and now I don't I should finally get around to selling them.

Not sure how to go about this, ebay? I'll have to look up some tutorials. I'm quite nervous about it but they need to get out of my flat!

Have a look at Facebook. It depends what you’re selling, but there are lots of closed groups you can join that are for specific brands.
I’ve bought a couple of handbags from groups set up for that one designer. The admins are good at insisting on many photos and trying to ensure authenticity - and because the other members of the group are pretty knowledgeable about the brand/designer, fakes are less likely to go unspotted.
Also, you’ll get a good idea of where to pitch pricing, and are probably more likely to get a quick sale.

For beauty items I use a Facebook page called beauty box swaps. You can sell most high end makeup on there. Unless it's auction house worthy designer, I'd use eBay for the rest and just make sure you have it recorded, tracked and insured. Ideally find your receipts so you can prove authenticity and don't post outside of the U.K. and only to the address registered with eBay.
