Help! What style dress for my petite pear shaped body?!

I'm hoping someone can help as I'm pretty desperate!

I have 4 weddings to go to in the next few months and in desperate need of a dress to wear. I've put on about a stone of weight recently, so gone from an 8 on top/10 on bottom to probably 10 on top and 12 on bottom. I'm about 5'3, small chest, and big hips/bum! And I can't bloody find anything that fits and looks decent!!! Dresses that fit my lower half are then much too baggy around shoulders/upper back area, and even if it does fit, the dresses seem to emphasize my middle and look very unflattering!

What style/shape dresses should I be going for? I'd love a floaty maxi dress or something a bit boho style. I usually wear quite fitted dresses but they don't really look great at the moment. I'm 25 if that helps with the shop.

I like Anthropologie dresses like these www.anthropologie.com/en-gb/dress-shop and have also looked at Reiss - but none really looked great. Budget around £150 since I'll get a fair bit of use out of it and can vary accessories.

I’m a similar shape to you - petite but curvy and rather bottom heavy.

I find skater style dresses look good on me - emphasise my boobs and small waist but flare over the heavy thighs!

Usually knee length, sort of ‘fit and flare’ so fitted on the bodice and waist and then a fuller skirt.

The Castania one from the anthropologie link would be lovely. It's the sort of style I go for & I have the same body shape as you.

I'm also short pear shape. Definitely go with a skater style or A line style dress.
