Awful pictures as I'm rubbish at taking selfies...but I added this dress to an online order, it's not something I would normally go for bit thought I'd give it a go...and I'm quite drawn to it and think it might be the only thing I keep from the order lol

So firstly does it look ok or am I kidding myself and it actually looks awful?

And secondly how would I finish it off (shoes/accessories etc)?

It looks big/baggy doesn't really do your figure any justice!

Millipedewithherfeetup · 13/05/2018 09:22

When/what occasion have you planned to wear it ?

Hoppinggreen · 13/05/2018 09:23

It does look a bit big for you

ScarlettDarling · 13/05/2018 09:23

I think that dress makes you look bigger than you really are. It's very shapeless and I don't think it's flattering on you. Send it back!

amy85 · 13/05/2018 09:24

It will probably be worn for a date night

Might see if I can get my hands on a smaller size

I'm rubbish at buying dresses

Gathered waists aren't very flattering and the print looks cheap to me.
However, YOU look lovely and should have a dress that is equally pretty.

ScarlettDarling · 13/05/2018 09:28

What about this floral maxi dress? It has a similar feel but I think would be more flattering.

Millipedewithherfeetup · 13/05/2018 09:28

Yes try a smaller size...I think it's a nice dress... accessorise with shappy black sandals you could also get away with red if you're feeling more adventurous !

amy85 · 13/05/2018 10:06

@scarlettdarling thank you for the link I'll give the dress a go...I've never tried a maxi dress always worry I'll look like a man in a dress in one as I'm quite tall and big lol

ScarlettDarling · 13/05/2018 12:06

You aren't big at all! And maxi dresses look better on taller women, they can swamp short people (I'm 5'11" and have never felt like a man when wearing one!)

DianaT1969 · 13/05/2018 13:29

I'm not keen on the cold shoulder look anyway, but I think you should send it back as the style doesn't do your figure justice. Keep hunting!!

rightknockered · 13/05/2018 13:36

I think a more structured dress in a smaller size would look better. How about a top and skirt instead?

amy85 · 13/05/2018 16:25

@rightknockered I've never felt confident enough to put together a skirt and top combo

I'm not keen on this off the shoulder trend - I don't think it suits anyone! What about a more "fit and flare" dress?
