Would it be weird to wear this as a wedding dress?

Here ...if the wedding is basically a relaxed garden party at home (after ceremony)

Does it look like a nightie? I’ve trawled through so many white dresses and cant bring myself to wear one. I do like the Self Portrait one though so I could possibly wear that if this other one is a bit ‘out there’

The Self Portrait one is gorgeous and I think the bridesmaid dress you have bought really complements it

meel · 12/05/2018 16:53

I love the fabric of the Ted Baker one but not so keen on the shape.

I do love the SP one. I like that it’s a bit different to a classic wedding dress despite being white.

Ah do you think so Sleeping? That was the only thing putting me off the SP one really.

I love the self portrait dress.

And your bridesmaid dress fab

And Yes-the dress in your OP looks exactly like a nighty.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 12/05/2018 16:55

just saw your last post-

think they would be lovely together-very clean and pretty Flowers

SomeKnobend · 12/05/2018 17:02

The self portrait one is gorgeous. The first one looks like a nightie and less bridal than the bridesmaid, which would be a bit weird!

Ginkypig · 12/05/2018 17:09

No the bridesmaids dress and the self portrait one go well together imo. If that's the only reason then stop worrying.

Post again but add both pictures so you can compare.

musketeersmama · 12/05/2018 17:10

Agree with others, Self Portrait one is stunning & compliments your bridesmaids dress beautifully!

watchingthedetectives · 12/05/2018 17:12

Really like the Self Portrait one - definite no to the other. Have you looked at the Whistles wedding stuff and Ghost. Neither are too 'weddingy'

Polkadot1974 · 12/05/2018 17:14

Self portrait for sure

sunshinesupermum · 12/05/2018 17:15

The Self Portrait dress is lovely!

Skyllo30 · 12/05/2018 17:15

Love the Self Portrait one too. Have you looked at Needle and Thread? I got mine from there - it was the ombré one so a bit more bridal but they have lots of gorgeous ones.

Someone linked to Next wedding dresses recently - some were very nice

I love the Needle and Thread ones but they are a bit out of my budget unfortunately! I did have a look at Next, but wasn’t particularly keen on any, which is a shame because they’re very good value! I saw a lovely midi Whistles dress but I really wanted maxi.

I feel more confident going for the SP one now, so thank you Smile

(And thank you for saving me from the whispers from a great aunt wondering if I forgot to put my day clothes on Grin)

I don’t suppose anyone wants to help find two flower girl dresses now, do they?! Halo

I really really like the Self Portrait dress. Plus with our weather it'll be perfect

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 12/05/2018 18:40

OP-how old are they and do you have a colour scheme?
I love an assignment...

meel · 12/05/2018 19:27

No colour scheme really, the adult bridesmaid dress is mink/pale pink but that’s all! I don’t mind if they’re the same colour, a different colour, a pattern... anything! As long as they fit the same sort of vibe as the Self Portrait dress and bridesmaid dress. They are 18 months and 4 years Smile

Go for the SP one it’s lovely.

PetulantPolecat · 12/05/2018 20:43

I think the Estella dress would match yours well. Look at eBay - you can get Monsoon flower girl dresses much cheaper.. or at least you can get the baby one easily. Right now, there’s two worn ones for under £5 and a brand new one for £18 (over £40 on the store website). The toddler is bound to spill something on it anyway Grin

meel · 12/05/2018 20:50

I love the little Estella dress. Would the pink or the white be best? I suppose it might be risky trying to get it to match the bridesmaid dress so maybe white is easiest. Thank you for the ebay tip! That’s perfect, I’ll have a look

I love the Self Portrait one! Sounds pretty much unanimous on here. Have you decided to go for it, OP?

meel · 12/05/2018 21:22

Yes Daisy Smile
