Best low sulfate shampoo for fine curly hair?

Hoping for some recommendations from others blessed (...) with super fine curly hair.

My hair curls in ringlets (3a) but is so fine and sparse that you can see big patches of my scalp. I’ve been using silicone-free and low-sulfate products for a few years now, and really seen an improvement in curl definition, but the flipside is that the better my hair curls, the more scalp is on show. I feel very self conscious about it. New hair growth is baby fine and blonde, which makes it worse.

I’ve been looking at various thickening/volumising shampoos, but they’ve all contained SLS or similar. The only suitable products don’t seem to be available in the UK and I’m not yet desperate enough to drop £50 on a $15 bottle of shampoo. Can anyone recommend a low/non-sulfate shampoo that is good on fine hair?

Thanks!

Boucleme or Jessicurl are my go products. Both available in the UK.

The Boucleme yellow curl creme is my go-to styling product (along with Boots curl creme) - couldn’t be without it. I tried their shampoo (blue bottle) recently and while my hair gets on with it, it doesn’t seem to have done much for volume alas. Not tried Jessicurl so I’ll look the out, thank you.

I really like Redken curvaceous high-foam shampoo. No SLS and a little goes a long way.

Cantu maybe.

Great, thanks, will look into both of those.

Just returning to this thread in case it’s of use to someone else...

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been using Jason Thin to Thick shampoo. It’s early days but I am definitely seeing results - hair both looking and feeling thicker. It’s a little frizzier, but the curl cream keeps it largely in check. The shampoo smells pretty awful, but I’ve got used to it now, and it’s worth it for the results.
