Dresses /Skirts with Leggings for the Summer

Is this so early 00s. I bought a cute denim skirt and summer dress - but for the cold days & they are lots!! What to do.. I looked on Pinterest and it’s all bare legs..!!! Are leggings regarded as v old fashioned now - once tights season passes!

I wear leggings with dresses/skirts when its cold. If warm I go barelegged.

Keep warm! Saying that, my legs are rarely cold, so just wear a jumper or jacket but legs are bare

Personally I don't like the look of leggings under a dress, but then again, it makes sense in this climate!

I personally think leggings under dresses skirts is really old fashioned. I can understand why people do it but for me, personally, I'd rather be cold or not wear that skirt or dress.

I always wear tights, in the summer matt nude tights and in the winter thick opaque tights, on holiday no tights, just a touch of natural looking fake tan. The only time I've wear leggings is at home lounging and when I lived in the Middle East (not allowed to have bare legs)

I think skirts and dresses need bare legs if worn in the summer. It just looks odd, to me.

I think it's a hideous look sorry. Tights are the answer if you're cold

You see my legs are like two sticks of chalk - but I’ll give the tights a whirl on a warm (ish) day!!!!

Have you tried a gradual tanner? I don’t use any fake tans as worried I’ll make a mess of it but the gradual tanners are great.

I have tried them all- they go patchy on me. Think I need to exfoliate more!

I wear cropped leggings or capri pants under shorter (eg above knee) shirt dresses in the summer because I'm mid-50s and don't like to flash too much leg these days. I didn't think it looked too bad, and certainly looks better on a shorter rounder person like me than shirt dresses with wide trousers, which seems to be a bit of a 'look' these days?

Leggings under a dress looks very frumpy to me. It was ‘fashionable’ 15 years ago..

If it’s not warm enough for bare legs I either wear tights or wear something else instead of the dress like jeans / trousers
