Help me not to be too navy for a wedding!

I’ve bought this dress which I’m really happy with. I need some help styling it please!

I have navy heels I love, and a navy clutch, but I think the overall effect will be too much. I definitely need a jacket as I don’t have anything suitable - and don’t know what shape is best.

I’m 5’ 6”, fairly pale with rosy cheeks, mid brown hair, blue eyes, and an hourglass size 12 if that helps.

Any suggestions for jackets, bags, shoes welcome please! Although ideally I’d use either the shoes or bag I already have.

I like rose gold/ blush colours with navy.

These are my shoes. Clutch is very simple navy suede, I don’t have a pic. Wedding is September.

Orange! I was watching a wedding party arrive at a hotel once and the nicest outfit was a navy dress with thing orange belt and orange clutch with navy shoes.

Anything metallic would be great, and agree with PP about rose gold.

I also love orange with navy - I recently wore orange shoes with a navy dress to a wedding and it looked fab (if I do say so myself!)

I'm planning on a navy dress for a wedding this summer. I'm teaming it with a fuchsia statement necklace and getting shoes and a bag to match.

Lots of colours go with navy: red, silver, gold, cream, hot pink.
I really like those shoes but agree it could be all a bit much.

Accessorise with gold- shoes, bag, statement jewellery etc

Orange accessories look ace with navy.

I asked similar last year and a hot pink clutch was suggested and it looked fab. I also picked up a silver leather one from accessorize which looked fab. See picture

you could find some applique to sew onto the shoes and bag or add a brooch, ribbons or some sort of decoration and team it with a bright belt and scarf and jewellry.

Fushia bag like MrsPear’s and fushia shoes too or maybr silver if you don’t want to be too matchy.

I like the sound of orange, but I don’t think it suits my colouring unfortunately.

Will definitely look at pink and silver.

Any suggestions for what shape jacket to wear?

Of course you can wear navy shoes if you already have some you like.

But it would be good to bring in come colour with your bag.

A little cropped blazer would be good with that dress or a Chanel-style boucle jacket.

Wonder if a wrap around your shoulders would look nice instead of a jacket? Something like in these pics, either of these colours look fab! ( I don’t know who those lovely ladies are, just got the pics off google!)
