Highlighter and bronzer

Hi all, completely useless at make up but have a big do in a couple of weeks. Can anyone suggest a good, reasonable (price wise!) highlighter and bronzer to use so i can practice? Am very pale so am scared of using them in case I look like an oompa lumpa!

Thanks!

TBH I don’t think bronzer works very often on pale skins. We’ve reached the point where even those with medium toned skin, who can pull it off better, are roaming the streets looking like time hopping New Romantics. I’d avoid.

I’d also avoid aswell. As you’re very pale you’ll find it v hard to find a cheap non Oompa Loompa bronzer. The only ones which are nice IMO at the Bobbi Brown ones but they’re ££££££!

You will most likely find a nice highlighter at boots or Superdrug but beware of the highlighter you can see from space..... if you have a very very pale , shimmery eye shadow and a small brush you can use that to see if you like the effect before shelling out on a specific product.

Recommend watching a some YouTube vids of pale skin beauty people for product recommendations. Sophie Louise and Thataayla come to mind.

I’d suggest a bronzer with some shimmer in, they tend go on lighter than Matt ones I high give you more coverage.
Or a bronzer which is made up of little hexagons of bronze, gold and pink work well on pale skin

I find Superdrug has lots of cheaper brands that are decent quality compared to boots.
Their assistants (usually hoisting around the make up) seem to know the products well and they have a lot of offers on.

I'm very fair and get on with the light Bourjois chocolate one- little dusting on cheeks, nose and forehead.

They do one which is half and half the bronzer and highlighter too. Liquid highlighter wise I really like the Soap and Glory Hocus Focus.

Thanks all, picked up the bourjois highlighter and bronzer today to try. I know being pale, too much bronzer makes me look weird but I think a very light dusting just takes the coldness out of my skin.

Glad to be able to help. To make the bronzer look natural just put it where the sun would catch first.

Best cheap highlighters are the Revolution ones. Topshop also do a good one. I agree with bronzer it’s hard to find good ones that aren’t expensive. I love mine...but it’s Tom ford Blush
