Where do you get your style inspiration from?

So every day I check out river island, topshop, whistles, warehouse and oasis websites and I never find anything to wear. I'm looking for new style inspiration. How do you shop?

I'm only asking about weight because there are a bunch of mums at my daughter's school who look lovely and they are all properly thin. I think it's so much easier to look chic in simple clothes if you don't have any lumpy bumpy bits!

I was people watching when we were out on Monday. I completely agree being a healthy weight and having good posture are the two biggest factors in looking good. Nothing to do with money spent on clothes and definitely nothing to do with money spent on 'grooming'. Time and money spent in the kitchen and gym are more important than in the hairdresser or beauty parlour.

Totally agree, CountFosco.

Re: bloggers being fake/sponsored, I don't really care - I make my own judgements on whether or not I like a particular item of clothing.

What I mean is, I much prefer to see it on a real person, as opposed to a stylised/photoshopped/stick-thin model on a website.

I get my inspiration from old French/ Belgian/ Caribbean / Latin American films like from the 80 or early 90s. I really like the smart cool chic look, e.g. a deep green summer dress with a leather belt and a leather handbag, or an A line skirt with a simple T shirt and flats. Bright red lipstick simple eyes good skin care.

I despise current fashion, it appears tasteless to me. Contouring, mom jeans midriff t shirts and big trainers???
