Another awful haircut (pics)

Why can't I find a haircut / hairdresser that doesn't make me look like a 60 yr old with a mullet. So annoyed. I asked for something similar to Kate Silvertons hair but got this 😭

Honest opinions please whilst I cry and wait another 12 weeks for it to grow a bit.

I think it looks lovely. It’s shit when you don’t feel that way though. Give it a couple of weeks, it will change a lot quickly.

Do you just need to put some product through it and mess it up a bit?

I like the front but the crown is too pouffy and the back is too long. I'd have the back really cropped.

It looks really nice from the front! I'm not so keen on it being longer at the back - I would prefer it to be shorter at the back. But it's honestly not as bad as you think it is!

The back was left long in order to flick up which my hair naturally wants to do. It's not right though, looks like a mullet to me too, it's all wrong lengths I guess.

The front is great and a very pretty colour

Kate silverton has a centre parting, hence why your cut looks different.
I do think it looks nice, you just need the back shortened a bit.

It's a good cut and looks very Kate Silverton to me.
Hers is very styled so to get that look you need to blow dry lots of volume into the roots, get some product into it to separate and define it and run your straighteners through the ends, turning the plates for a flicked out look.

But I agree that the crown is too 'pooffed' up - is that pic after the hairdresser blow dried it? Sometimes hairdressers can't resist giving everybody loads of volume in the roots, but imo lots of styles don't need that and look better without - and imo that kind of blow dry can be quite ageing. I would wash it, try moving the parting more towards the centre, and giving it more of a rough blow dry. See how the natural movement of your hair works with the new cut, then tweak with some straighteners to make the ends more defined.

Yes agree it's the back that's the problem - it's actually a lovely short haircut with a mullet stuck on the back. Get another hairdresser to trim and shape the back in, and try a product like B&B Brilliantine to give it extra texture and shine. Wear with funky shades!

Agree with everyone else - it's really pretty from the front! Have the back cut into the nape of your neck, it'll sort the proportions out.

You've got the perfect hair for a cut like this, which I would have myself if I didn't have terrible, bushy hair.
