Comfy flat sandals that don't look like my Gran has them?

I broke my favourite pair on our last holiday and cannot find anything that looks like I could run after my two boys in the summer but that my Gran doesn't wear. I have an old pair of Birkenstocks but im looking for something that doesn't flap Hmm. I like a pair in Clark's but they are definitely in Granny territory. Any suggestions most appreciated!!

I bought these last week. They look lovely and don’t rub at all.

Ooh these are lovely and the two different colours are really nice. Thanks! I'd rather not spend the £60 I've been looking at in Clark's.

Teva Tirra sandals

I tried them after seeing lots of recommendations on mumsnet, and they are really comfy.

Also have a look at Hotter - lots of granny annie styles but a few that are ok, including some like those suggested, and again, they're usually really comfortable.

Try Geox.

I've just realised my post has my details on so have reported it.

Try again!

I've been searching for the same thing, a little frumpiness is inevitable I think but this is my shortlist.

These are all Tevas, my favourites are the brown ones but I'm a bit worried they will look like tarantulas.

MsJuniper that made me laugh a lot.
I think you're right about a degree of frumpiness. There's maybe a space in the market for any entrepreneurs out there! Will have a look at Hotter too thanks.

Skechers?

2ndbabymama · 09/05/2018 10:42

Amazon have the Teva in white for £30ish. Wondering whether they would be filthy after being on all day or easily cleaned Hmm. Sketchers I haven't looked at yet Thanks!

The Teva Tirras are waterproof so hopefully they should be easy to clean! One of the reasons I love them - if you're out in the summer and you get your feet wet (be it a city puddle or splashing in the waves on the beach or caught in a rainstorm or watering the garden or whatever) it doesn't matter - whole lot is waterproof and just dries off on your foot. Or if they get grubby - just hose them down (or rinse in the sink)...

No idea if the white would actually lose its 'bright whiteness' though...

I have the ones like the navy ones in the last picture in the earlier post, except mine are pink and their colour is just the same as it was when I bought it. I like them because they're adjustable at the front and back of the foot, but at the same time, they're not as clumpy as many of the outdoorsy / walking sandals that are out there.

Fab, thanks for all the info. Just the sort of help I was hoping for! Grin

I bought the m&s ones in "blush" and they are awesome. So comfy and look really smart. Thanks for all your tips! Grin
