See through trousers

I have purchased a loose fitting 3/4 length of trousers from mango. The fit, material and colour I really like only problem is they are so see through. I asked a seamstress if she could fit a lining and she said it was as much as the trousers themselves. Does anyone have a solution? Could I get away with wearing big knickers?
Or do I need to return them?

How about wearing nude/skin coloured pants under?

If just wearing big knickers doesn’t feel right, look at trouser slips,.

M&S do some culottes slips that fit under trousers. They come up really big, so I'd recommend sizing down.
I wear them under linen trousers.

Never knew trouser slips were a thing. Where are they sold? Culotte slips from M &S, perhaps that's exactly what I need..off to take a look. Thanks, most helpful.
