How do you shave your legs for the best result?

I hate shaving as my skin is so sensitive and I itch and scratch like crazy a day after.
I don't want to have to wear trousers while the hair grows long enough to be waxed.

When I shave them it never seems to be a very close shave, there are always stubbly bits on show. Also the itching and irritation can be so bad I leave red scratch marks on my legs.

I do use one of my dh's razors as he says they're great for a close shave.

Please tell me how I can get nice smooth non itchy legs!

Also use his shaving cream, but only after you’ve already been in the shower/bath for a while to soften the hairs. Plus use a Venus razor.

Do you use loads of shave gel on wet legs?

I tend to exfoliate them first with like some sort of scrub and exfoliating mitt as this seems to help get a closer shave 😊 then use a shaving foam (maybe a sensitive one with aloe Vera in for your skin) and moisturise afterwards to take that itchy feeling away? X

I just use soap. I don't get better results with shaving cream or gel, and there is no landfill waste from an empty container.

I use hair conditioner or mens shaving gel
