Hush denim skirt and sizing

I am hoping some of you Hush fans might be able to help me out. I have had my eye on the Hush denim pencil skirt for a while now. The only thing that has been putting me off is I am not in the UK so it is going to cost me a pretty penny in shipping and customs.

I am small-framed with narrow hips, 5'3 and weigh 7 stone. Can anyone give me an idea what Hush's sizing is like? Is a size 6 a real size 6 and might fit me, or does vanity sizing come into play?

Sorry, I can't give much of a clue as to my size in UK brands - a Boden 6 would be way too big for me in the hips, in Gap or JCrew I would wear a US 0.

Thank you so much for any help. I am hoping to avoid my usual "see something nice in a UK store, spend a fortune on shipping and duties, then have to return it" disaster. It does look very nice in the pictures though. Oh, to have decent shops here!

I am slightly bigger than you, 5ft 3 and 8 stone, and I honestly think that Hush's smallest size won't fit. It is similar sizing to a Boden 6 which I also find roomy. Sorry but I wouldn't bother.

Hush are a hit or a miss sizing wise. I have the denim pencil skirt in a size 12 and I find its true to size but it was last years. Not sure of the pencil skirt this year or the one with the red stripe. I have heard that some find it generous so perhaps not worth it for you.

There is a hush thread. Some have bought the pencil skirt from this year. They are friendly and you can ask them :)

I’m bigger than you (5’8, 8st 10. Classic size 8 in Boden, Baukjen, All Saints, Oasis etc, size 10 in H&M) and I am an XS in Hush. So I think you’d find their clothes too large.

hush is massive. i'm petite and a 10 and id never order larger than a small. i've had to return even those.

I got the star jeans in a size 6 (I'm the same height as you and about 1/2 stone heavier). They're roomy and need a belt so from my limited experience with hush I find they come up very big.
