Shoes for pebbly beaches.

We've moved near a pebbly beach.

I love to swim but I can't bear walking on the stones in bare feet. Today I took flip Flops to wear on the stones. They were ok but I can't swim in them.

What do you wear on you feet on a stony beach - like Brighton.

Watershoes, like for sailing, windsurfing or paddleboarding? Try Decathlon or sportsdirect.

Crocs flip flops with the ankle straps like these when I'm worried about what I look like
Beach shoes like these for swimming or watersports
Sandles like these for paddling and days out with lots of walking before hand or after.

I tend to get too hot and my feet get a bit claustrophobic in wetsuit fabric ones

I have these which I can swim in but are also comfortable enough to walk on stony beaches and on the pavement - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01KPTX1C4/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?psc=1&keywords=water%2Bshoes%2Bladies&th=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1525728793&sr=8-13

I'd completely forgotten those Karrimore style sandals even existed - makes good sense as we often combine beach with walking too.

The Crocs are amazing - never seen them before!

Good old fashioned jelly shoes fresh from the 1980's are good if you can get them. We holidayed at a campsite by a pebbly beach last summer and the site shop sold them.

TheClitterati · 07/05/2018 22:38

the swimming trainers look good too.

I have north face Velcro sandal jobs but diving shoes are good for this but I find them a pain to put on.

TheClitterati · 07/05/2018 22:47

Yeah I can't imagine messing around with diving shoes either. And I carry enough stuff to the beach as it is so multi tasking or ultra light options are best.

I had jelly shoes in the 80's. GrinGrin
I recall them being very sweaty. But cute.

Crocs

Vibram five fingers are brilliant for that kind of thing. I wear them all day on beaches, swimming in lakes, scrambling up rocks etc etc.

I wear my saltwaters on the (pebbly) beach and swim in the sea in them.
