Anyone tried a stick-on bra?!

I want to wear this dress, but my tits aren’t up to going bra-less. I’m a slightly saggy C-cup and just need something to hold them in place a bit. I’ve seen stick-on bras, anyone tried them? Also those with clear straps across the back, but think that might look a bit too visible?

I've used one a few times, also found them good but got a smaller chest than you, the whole cup is sticky and they have a sticky tab so you can hoik yourself up and stick it in place. You can either attach in the middle for push up or not.

Yes! Got one off of ebay and highly recommend.

I'd bought a thin cotton halterneck but the nips showed, I crossly said to my mother and she said 'isn't that the fashion nowadays?' and 'I said well I don't know, I'm not checking' and went out and bought a stick on bra for camouflage. Only about £5.

I have no idea.

I just want to say that dress is bloody gorgeous 😁

Thanks everyone! Good to hear reassuring stories about them, as bit scared of it peeling off and landing at my feet.

Ooh I’m glad you said that Toooldtobearsed as I rarely wear dresses, so it’s a bit out of my comfort zone and I needed some reassurance! It’s currently in the sale at Debenhams if anyone wants one Grin

So my sister wore one recently and she thought it was great. We looked at lots of reviews and she paid £35ish for it and I made her do all of the measuring they told her to do on the website (as she is wearing like a 38B and is in reality more like a 34D). So those would be my bits of advice, you get what you pay for and make sure you're wearing the right size!

Sammysquiz · 07/05/2018 21:59

The event I’m wearing it to isn’t until July, so I’ll buy the bra now and do some thorough testing beforehand!

I got a really cheap one from amazon or eBay. It did the trick in terms of holding me inBUT , it was a very hot day, and I got prickly heat( in exactly the shape of the bra!) .

CharlieandLolaCat · 07/05/2018 22:05
  • her normal bra is a 38D - she is wearing completely the wrong size bra on a daily basis. This is a whole other thread ..... my point (and I've just reread my first post and realised it could be misconstrued) is wear the correct size!
Etymology23 · 07/05/2018 22:09

I am approx an E cup (as per user above sister I do not wear this size though!) and have used a super cheap one that had decent reviews off amazon - think it was less than a fiver. Not mega comfy but fine - I stuck mine on fairly wide and then clipped in together in the middle for some lift. Not majorly secure but didn’t feel like I would fall out - mine was a dress with lace up sides and very thin straps - so probably could have managed without a bra.

DonkeyPunch88 · 07/05/2018 22:10

I wore this exact dress for a friend's wedding, I had a nude stick on bra from Debenhams, came in two separate halves so you kind of 'lift' yourself into it and then you can clip the cups together if wanted. Stayed on all day and then you just rinse and air dry and it becomes sticky again.

pepperpop · 07/05/2018 22:12

Stick on bras are great and work well, clear straps look awful!

That dress is gorgeous by the way Smile

FaultySpice · 07/05/2018 22:16

I got a great stick on bra from H&M. Lasted all night no problem.

Sammysquiz · 08/05/2018 06:21

You’re all wonderful! Thanks for the tips and reassurance Grin

Op that dress is lovely!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/05/2018 09:57

I wore one with my wedding dress as it had a sheer back, just to give a bit of security under the bodice, which was fitted but not like a corset. I'm an F cup (on a 30 band) but obviously that's irrelevant when your bra doesn't have a back size, so I just had the biggest size I think.

Tbh a stick on bra won't really hold your boobs in place, it just gives them a sort of rounded shape and like pp said, you can clip the cups together to hold them in a bit, but you'd be relying on the dress to actually position your boobs.

Sammysquiz · 08/05/2018 12:51

I’ve ordered one called Invisibra which looks like it’ll do the job. Will do some wild living-room dancing to test out it’s staying power Grin
