Anyone been? If so, were you happy with the results?
I'm absolutely at my wits end trying to find a hairdresser who understands curls and wants to celebrate them, instead of the usual "want that straightened?" I'm 33 and want a style to be proud of, instead of my shameful fuzzy mess. :(
Thinking of booking in with someone at Spring when I'm next on holiday from work - maybe book a hotel and make a couple of days of it. Would really appreciate any thoughts from people who have been there!
Thanks!

I go. I am fairly pleased with the results although I think my hair is too fine for them and so the finish has never been quite right and last time it was way too short.
Cut is excellent though and has always grown out well.
I'm struggling to find anywhere else though so at the moment settling for ignoring mine...

I take my daughter to Spring. She’s 6 so it’s expensive for a child’s cut but everywhere else has been a disaster. Matt cuts her hair and I think he’s excellent (she hasn’t had anyone else do it). He definitely knows his stuff. Also if you’re not from here and you go you’ll be right near the Medicine Bakery and you 100% need to go in and buy a cronut, they are to die for 🤣

I went a few years ago. Matt totally gets curly hair, cuts it dry so sees how the hair falls naturally. The thing I found most useful personally was how to dry my hair and which products to use. It's pricey but if you're at your wits end, it's worth it!

The reason I don't go anymore is that I've grown out my layers, but if I were going to have them put in again I would go back. I went when he was part of Puro Hair which only use organic hair dyes, the colour was really good too and I still go there.

I've been three times first two times were great but on the third time I was told my hair would look great short. Unfortunately it didn't I looked like my granny I never went back.

Which stylists are people using? I really like the ethos and cutting style but not sure Matt 'gets' my hair for finishing, never walked out feeling 'amazing'.

Any other fine curlies had better success?

Mercurial123 · 11/05/2018 15:40

Matt always cut my hair when it was long it looked amazing when it was short it wasn't a good look but someone had took my appointment she was booked in for 1pm she turned up at 3pm and didn't say anything. He was rushed so maybe that's why it looked crap.

Hi I used Matt once around 5 years ago, he did a good job. Birmingham was too far away for me so I switched to Lindsey Hughes the curl whisperer in London (google her and you can book appointment online) she's also a Deva trained curl hairdresser and very very good.
Expensive but worth it.
I belong to a curlies FB group where they list the Curly hairdressers I'll go have a look and report back
