My feet are horrible

Not a huge problem. But I am barefoot and my feet are really gross.

I see women with very elegant feet. How does this happen? Grin

Mine too. I’ve bought some bright raspberry polish as I thought it might make them more acceptable. It doesn’t. Not really. I’ve also been using a PED-Egg. And, I’ve started using The Garnier Summer Body this week to take the cadaver effect away. Small steps....small steps

AnneLovesGilbert · 07/05/2018 14:58

What’s wrong with them? Dry skin? Nails? Foot shape?

I use a chiropodist sponge in the shower. Couple of quid on amazon and it’s transformed by feet which can be dry and scaly as I’m barefoot a lot.

Moisturise feet in bed at night. The body shop pink pepperminty one is brilliant.

All feet look better with bright coloured nails. I have tiny slightly chubby feet. With a good nail colour, they look much prettier, more elegant!

Foot shape - I have a really large big toe and four tiny very squashed together other toes. There is quite a big gap between my big toe and other toes.

Hair Blush

I don’t want to draw attention to them with polish really!

Remove the hair! If you want to Smile

Do you ever paint your toe nails? It might be worth a go, might make a difference and distract from the shape you’re not keen on.

MrsMarigold · 07/05/2018 15:32

Remove hair, paint toenails, exfoliate daily, vaseline intensive care on them everyday, use a scrubbing brush to clean them everyday, exfoliate with a foot rasp, I got one in superdrug and do it everyday when my feet are wet, takes 30seconds. Going barefoot outdoors also exfoliates naturally.

immortalmarble · 07/05/2018 15:33

How do you remove the hair though? Shaving still leaves stubble!

A French polish helps to make toes look more petite

yellowmellw · 07/05/2018 15:34

Use the facial hair wax strips

SilverHairedCat · 07/05/2018 15:35

Go get a proper pedicure - soaking of feet, scrubbing off of hard skin, hair removal if you want it, and nails in the best condition you can get them.

Make the most of what you have, women with "elegant" feet may well covet a wider foot so they can wear a different style of shoe or not have other slip off! We all want what we can't have.....

jugglingsatsumas · 07/05/2018 15:36

Get a pedicure! I got one this morning and my feet look lovely... much easier then to keep on top of making them look nice. As for the hair, are we talking about the odd one or two (pluck) or more (waxing might be better)?

immortalmarble · 07/05/2018 15:37

Yes but with waxing you then have to let it grow back, don’t you?

Mine are disgusting at the mo as I put footner on last week and have timed it really badly so they are in full peel during the hottest bank holiday ever!!
I don't have attractive feet anyway but at least the look better with no dry skin and a bit of polish.

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/05/2018 15:39

Get footner for the skin, sort out your cuticles and buff your nails, then paint them.
Noting you can do about the shape though obviously.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/05/2018 15:39

I am the same. Bunions, corns. hard skin. I am so embarrassed to show them to anyone esp at my yoga class when she comes round and adjusts my position I think OMG my feet are hideous.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/05/2018 15:40

I am going to get footner from amazon.

IHaveBrilloHair · 07/05/2018 15:41

Holycity, mine are in full peel too, I swear by slathering astral cream on and wearing socks overnight.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 07/05/2018 15:43

A pedicure every 6 weeks or more if you can does the trick. Booked in on Friday for one, at present my feet are an embarrassment.

Itchytights · 07/05/2018 15:45

Definitely remove the hair and go for some nail polish.

I am fortunate to have decent feet and get a lot of compliments- but always wear nail polish and have done for years. Moisturiser helps too .

I’m sure your feet aren’t as bad as you think. People are more preoccupied with their own insecurities than taking any of notice of others hang ups.

Try not to worry OP.

Yoga made me realise my feet were horrible too Grin

Agree with all these tips but in addition I see a podiatrist every spring. They cut all the hard skin off and shape the nails, sort out the nail bed etc. It's a step above a salon pedicure and keeps my feet soft for most of the summer.
