What can I do to my barnet?

It is lank and drab. I don't care so much about the colouring ie the grey but it looks untidy. I have never had long hair before and it has taken me since June 2016 to grow it.
I am wondering whether to cut it to my jaw line.

You have great hair, it looks strong and health but it is a bit flat.

It's hard to say for sure without seeing your face shape properly but I would suggest making your parting nearer the centre, have a long fringe cut in and some long layers, shaped round the face. Then you can blow dry it with some volume and have swishy hair when you want to or put it up when you CBA.
