I like boxy cotton/viscose mix, wide scoop or v-neck. Preferably slightly longer sleeves. Plain or some graphic element as long as it's not too twee.

Need to refresh my T-shirts but won't get into shops much from here on out due to kids school hols.

Whistles sounds perfect for what you are looking for.

Flaskfan · 07/05/2018 09:13

H&m.

I am struggling trying to find a good tee this year. I want a rounded neck but slightly scooped, longish cap sleeves and good material. I am full busted, most tees look awful on me. A high neck is a no no. The material this year is very thin, particularly the white ones, so see through. A few years ago I bought a few white ones from Sainsbury’s which I still wear around the house despite the greyish tinge. They were the perfect shape and the material was really good. I think that the decline in fabrics used in the High Street is getting beyound a joke now. I would be willing to spend a bit of money on tees if they ticked all the boxes.

I've had some great basic t shirts and tops for layering from Lands End. Last ages, wash well. Uniqlo good too.

mercurymaze · 07/05/2018 09:35

Top shop to some nice thicker tshirts this season in lovely colours for 10 baukjen are also good plus Levi and other stories

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 07/05/2018 09:39

Whistles

PrivateParkin · 07/05/2018 09:40

Timefortea I know, fabrics are getting ridiculous. I bought two lovely-looking tees from oasis last summer, gorgeous bright colours - but the fabric was so thin. One stretched completely out of shape after one wash and the other shrunk! Anyway. Hush t-shirts look nice OP although I haven't actually bought one, it might be worth a look? They have good reviews, and are £27 which I guess is fine if they wash/wear well. Im thinking of a purchase myself.

I like GAP for plain t-shirts.

It's a bit trial and error until you find the perfect one, but most of my favourite t-shirts come from there.

crackerjackered · 07/05/2018 09:43

Yes I've got a couple of gap v necks that have lasted ok

DeltaG · 07/05/2018 09:46

NigellasGuest · 07/05/2018 09:46

I have one black and one white from Me&Em, bought over a year ago and still going strong, good as new.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 07/05/2018 09:49

Uniqlo airism for summer, heat tech for winter.

mercurymaze · 07/05/2018 11:11

would recommend \link{https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/product/women-drape-crew-neck-short-sleeve-t-shirt-403640.html\these} if you want something drapey, they are really flattering

MsGameandWatching · 07/05/2018 12:04

Gap.

RoseWhiteTips · 07/05/2018 12:37

Uniqlo

Yippeeeeee · 07/05/2018 12:59

Gap Vintage Wash V-Neck. Great quality and very flattering. Unless you're petite, get the tall size (I'm 5'9").

I wear them all the time and they are holding up well. It's very popular so goes out of stock a lot.

thedevilinablackdress · 07/05/2018 13:19

Really disappointed in H&M recently. Barely a whiff of cotton.

Cos was better tho more £

N0tfinished · 07/05/2018 15:13

Thanks all. I've ordered a couple of Uniqlo. Here's hoping!
