NC to protect my identity! Grin

Lots of grey coming through now so went to hairdressers 3 months ago to get a bit of colour done.

Specifically said I didnt want any warm, honey, caramelish tones done but thats what I got! :-S

Hair is naturally an ashy dark mousey blonde and the skin tone in this pic, believe it or not, is with a little added gradual tanner. Natural skin tone is of the blue- and pink-tinged deathly variety.

Im going back to get my roots done, but how shall I ask her to correct the colour? Should I take it darker? What do you think? I just think the current colour looks weird for some reason.

You can tone down brassiness by using purple shampoo. Leave it in for a few minutes the rinse out as normal. Works wonders on my blonde highlights.

It’s lovely, try a purple shampoo?

GeordieGirl233 · 07/05/2018 11:28

You're so pretty

MyFavouritePlace · 07/05/2018 12:04

It's a lovely colour and really suits, you look beautiful. Don't see brassy or parched at all.

RoseWhiteTips · 07/05/2018 12:39

As others have said, you are very pretty and your hair looks fine!Smile

RoseWhiteTips · 07/05/2018 12:39

No way is it brassy!

Loonoon · 07/05/2018 12:51

I agree that you look lovely, you have beautiful hair and great skin. If I was being perfectionist I would think that overall your hair is a little warm for your skin tone. I think a shade or two lighter would be more flattering. Perhaps your hairdresser could add some cooler highlights to help you get there?

I think you and your hair look lovely.
But if you are not happy when you have your roots done change the colour.
I personally would not go back to a hair dresser who did not do what I had asked for.
Maybe take a pictures of the colour you want so there is no misunderstanding.
I think it is really nice but it's your hair, have it done so you are happy with it.

Thank you so much for your comments guys, I must admit I wasnt expecting all these generous comments and that really put a spring in my step this morning!

On balance whilst I agree it doesnt look bad, as some posters have confirmed I do think it is a little orangey/warm/brassy for me so I'll ask her to try and either darken it a little or coolify it. And will be sure to post an update pic of course Grin

Thanks for being such a kind and helpful bunch

EI have to say that I have that sort of colour naturally and a similar skin tone, but slightly paler. If mother nature can do it so can you
