hopeless at this stuff...what shoes with culottes?

I bought some Boden culottes in their sale, but have no idea what to wear with them, in the way of shoes. They are longer than I realised (3 inches above ankles, though I'm 5'9"), I need them for work (teaching, meaning I'm on my feet all day), so footwear needs to be comfortable. I'm not sure whether they look ok with flats or not. They look good with heels, but I can't wear heels all day. Boots, maybe? I don't want to have to buy more shoes as my teacher's salary doesn't allow a lot of expense.Dress code at my (private) school means fairly formal look). I would appreciate some help for a fashion moron - thank you!

Flats, definitely.

Or long boots in a 70s chic way. You don’t want to see the top of the boot ideally.

Can you do a google image search for “culottes” and use the pictures as inspiration?

Must admit I just wear mine with either ballet shoes for work. They are nice with this sort of wedge too, on days when not running around too much.

Lost a bit of my sentence! Either ballet shoes or other flats.

I wear them with converse or flat brogue type sling backs (which sound awful but are not)

Flats is fine

I like them with trainers at the weekend, but that's no use to you!
