Smoothing pants for tum

CakeInMyFace · 05/05/2018 17:29

Hi hope someone can help.
Any suggestions for some comfy pants that aren't those tight hold-everything in pants? Have a wee lower overhang from 2 sections that I can't get rid of no matter how slim I get or fit I get! I don't want to get too sweaty but I.noticed today it is made worse by the pants I wear under dresses!

Lurks

otornot · 05/05/2018 17:57

I was about to google 'lurks' thinking they were a style of pants Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 05/05/2018 18:37

Me too. I have a mum tum :( Am currently exercising to get rid of it but the perfect pants would be great. Thinking of investing in spanx. Would like a bit of comfort!!!

TantricTwist · 05/05/2018 18:45

I just wear my tops over my mum tum because Spanx etc are so uncomfortable esp going to the loo on a night out, I've just given up on them.
However that said M&S have a great selection

Someone should invent post c section pants. I have the typical c section shelf after two Caesarian in my 40s. Normal tummy holding in pants seem to squash the wrong place, higher up, and so I pouch out lower down. I would like to find some control pants for clingy dresses that really hold in the shelf.

SirVixofVixHall · 05/05/2018 18:50

We could invent some and call them LURKS.

CakeInMyFace · 05/05/2018 18:53

I was just about to google lurks as well! Hmm..No easy solution then...bummer Confused

I have thought of wearing ordinary cotton pants and then some sort of control band as well. Then I think there would be too many layers.
I am trademarking 'lurks' for when I get the right combination. Grin

otornot · 05/05/2018 18:58

I'd buy lurks pants.

Exercise for c-section overhang?www.mumsnet.com/Talk/exercise/3237477-exercise-for-c-section-overhang

No answers it seems!

I went running today with 2 pairs of shorts (one has pockets but too short to wear alone)

After I went for a pre run wee I didn't pull up my pants. Just the shorts. Fun times at the start line figuring it out!

So no I couldn't be trusted with pants + control underwear too.

bobstersmum · 05/05/2018 19:05

I have this problem too, it's annoying. I've got a m&s pair of tummy holding pants but they are huge! And sweaty!

dietcokemango · 05/05/2018 19:07

I'd buy lurks pants.

Yes so would I. Mumsnet rated!

bobstersmum · 05/05/2018 19:10

I did end up looking at kidney warmers online the other night but not sure if they'd hold it in much?

otornot · 05/05/2018 19:15

The c section overhang is a very distinctive feature on my body to consider when dressing.

It's not massive, just 'floppy' over the scar Confused

I imagine it's the same for many women actually?

Justmuddlingalong · 05/05/2018 19:17

My overhang is on one side only. Not from a c section, but from getting my appendix out. I've yet to find knickers that contain it. Confused

TooMinty · 05/05/2018 19:18

Stop wearing dresses and stick to high waisted jeans. I find Topshop Jamie jeans hold in my section overhang.

candyoss · 05/05/2018 21:05

Sloggi

As a seasoned wearer of control pants .. I have a drawer full . I have tried them all!

SirVixofVixHall · 05/05/2018 21:07

Ooh sloggi ? Which ones ? And do you size up ? I find sloggi sizing rather small in some styles.

thatisnotanoption · 05/05/2018 22:19

I have these uk.sloggi.com/women/knickers-panties/maxi-midi/10005203.html?cgid=s170000&color=0003_White. Very comfortable and true to size.

NellytheElephant18 · 05/05/2018 22:22

M&S no vpl shapewear light tummy control works for me. Not the sexiest underwear I’ve ever owned but it does the trick!

NellytheElephant18 · 05/05/2018 22:25

Would help if I added link - www.marksandspencer.com/2-pack-light-control-no-vpl-full-brief-knickers/p/p60099930?&pdpredirect

SirVixofVixHall · 05/05/2018 23:06

@thatisnotanoption could you say the style as I can’t get the link to work, is the the maxi control ones ?

SirVixofVixHall · 05/05/2018 23:07

Nelly, am going to try those.

thatisnotanoption · 05/05/2018 23:25

Yes maxi control. They are expensive but last a long time.
