What on EARTH do you do with contouring?

I've just had my last look fantastic box through (half year subscription) and there is a contouring kit.

I wouldn't know what to do with it for the life of me. What do contourers do...?

Most of the teenagers round here seem to have a glittery white stripe at the top of their cheeks with a dark brown stripe underneath. I’m guessing that’s not the look you’re going for though...Grin

I think contouring looks like war paint. And not in a good way.

I think it might be consigned to the bin.

I don't want stripes on my face.

This might help...

If you're over 21 you don't do anything with contouring unless you take eleventy billion Snapchat pics a day...

I have teenage daughters they look great in pics with filters but look like clowns in real life Hmm

Yes teens and early twenties have an odd stripy effect. Glittery white on the tip of cheekbones and darker underneath. Reminds me of Adam ant in the early 80's.

You apply the cool dark shade under the hollows of your cheekbones, blending upward. Put the same cool shade around your hairline and blend downwards. Then put the pale shade on the tops of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and Cupid's bow. Try Youtube tutorials, I would recommend Jeffree Star, Tati and James Charles. If you can bear her voice, Laura Lee's video on contouring is very helpful. Good luck!

It depends if it’s cream or powder you take the contour from above your ear and under the cheek bone to create a shadow you can also slim the face down the sides hide a double chin and on the sides of your nose to create a smaller effect highlighter can make your cheek bones pop when applied or brow bone also and Cupid’s bow i would recommend watching YouTube video similar to your face shape Smile

I’d bin it.

I went to the local shopping centre last week and all the young sales girls looked like they’d been taking make up lessons from a drag queen- huge eyebrows painted an inch higher than natural, obvious stripy contouring, massive eyelashes, heavy eye make up and lipstick drawn well outside the lipline. Plus the big hair.

Like pp says it may be that it looks good on photo’s. But on the counter at sainsburys? No love.
