What would you wear with these sequin shoes?

I'm obsessed with these shoes but what on earth would you wear them with? The sequins reverse to matte black but not sure that makes them much more wearable - ?

The second photo is of a similar pair worn with what looks like plain black cropped trousers and lacy top. I guess that's the simplest way to go - ?

I expect someone to comment that they're ugly and try-hard (which may be true ) but I'm mesmerised.

I think they're fantastic so would wear them with anything and everything ;)

I love them but I adore and collect Irregular Choice shoes so have no taste in mn terms!

Those are awesome peacock shoes. I'd wear with an all navy outfit and possibly some green. Everything else pretty simple shapes and textures.

Aww, glad it's not just me. They look nice in the photo but in person they're magical.
I like the idea of navy, that's nicer than black I think.

Yes I've changed my mind definitely navy but quite plain to showcase the shoes.

@ElfrideSwancourt sorry, my reply sounded so rude like I was rejecting your idea. When I went to try on the shoes I wore black velvet skinny jeans specifically.

Although I wore black almost exclusively in my 20s and 30s I find it hard to wear now, though I did buy a black jersey jumpsuit which is working out quite well. So navy or black really, either will be good.

Are they Tracey Neuls? (If yes, we have the same shoes - if not, we have similar shoes!)

I wear mine with black leather leggings and a black dress. They also go well with green. I wore this green scarf with them and everyone in a shop was falling over themselves telling me how well the shoes and scarf went together:

@arousingcheer I have the ones with the little heel. I also have the Dean ones but with different colour sequins. I will confess to having about 20 pairs of Tracey Neuls shoes. She's my go-to shoemaker. I wear her shoes for almost everything as they fit really well, they're super-comfy but they're also edgy. I live within walking distance of one of her stores so that's what started the addiction. They know me by name now. These are my latest shoes (bought for a beach wedding I'm going to in a few months - although I'm wearing them to watch TV tonight to break them in):

@HundredMilesAnHour how funny, I have the Dean ones with the different sequins too - like a purpley-grey colour on one side and khaki on the other.
I must confess to becoming obsessed with her shoes after seeing Sharon Horgan's petrol boots on Catastrophe. Then I went to a sample sale and it was all downhill from there.
Those are fun and look like just the thing for a beach wedding.
