Best under eye cream?

I need some advice from you wise ladies. I've just got contact lenses for the first time. The downside to being able to see my whole face now is I've got lovely dark bags under my eyes. Being a single mum to an almost 3 year old has taken its toll. So I need some recommendations for under eye cream. Do these things actually work? I've never used anything other than moisturiser so any tips would be helpful. Also I can't really afford to break the bank so cheaper quality alternatives would be great. TIA

Retinol eyecreams. La roche posay do a good one.

I'm onto my 2nd tube of Olay Pro Retinol eye cream and I am very, very impressed. The skin around my eyes is much smoother and firmer, and the fine lines have almost disappeared. I am not joking. It is that good.

By ‘bags’, do you means under eye circles or puffy things

vipers · 04/05/2018 19:45

Bio oil. Seriously it's brilliant.

Dark circles under my eyes

Ah, I don’t think any cream will help with that Sad

Confessi0n - I have dark circles and recently they became more pronounced because they became very sunken, making me look quite unwell. I had tear trough fillers. Still have the circles, just now the hollows

Graduate223 · 04/05/2018 20:22

Sorry nothing will help dark circles apart from concealer, but a great eye cream is skinceuticals aox+ and that will help wrinkles and texture.

I have also had good results from using Vaseline in my eyelids and under my eyes.

I also use Dermalogica age reversal eye cream.

Out of everything I find Nivea Soft surprisingly works really well. I put it on overnight, quite thickly.

Comealongpond89 · 04/05/2018 20:49

Ok so here's a very unflattering pic. It's not great light. But you can see the lines of the bags. They're not really dark but a bit darker than you can see in the pic

They’re not that bad!! Do you wear foundation?

Comealongpond89 · 04/05/2018 21:10

They look worse in person! I don't wear make up a lot but I might have a look for some concealer to even out my skin tone

OP posts:
Aridane · 04/05/2018 21:34

I think all you need is a nice foundation in your skin tone - it will even everything up

Ilikesweetpeas · 04/05/2018 21:37

I'm finding the Aldi one in a red tub good, it's a gel and goes on smoothly

lhastingsmua · 04/05/2018 21:55

Personally I love this one:

It’s a bit dear, but I genuinely see a difference in my undereye area. I used to have recessed undereye hollows and slightly dark circles, it’s much less prominent now. The colour looks the same as the rest of my skin and it doesn’t look as recessed

maclippy · 05/05/2018 15:51

This is worth every penny and will last for several months. Apply sparingly. It makes you look like you have slept for a week. You will notice the difference in a day. mybeautyandtruth.com/uk/skincare/expert-lift-iq
