Brows are becoming very sparse.
Do any of these products actually work?

Castor oil has made my eyebrows grow like crazy! Cheap as chips too.

Effendi · 04/05/2018 15:13

Castor oil. Made my lashes so long that my mascara made marks on my glasses!

jelliebelly · 04/05/2018 15:17

How do you apply castor oil without getting it in your eyes??

TidyLike · 04/05/2018 15:23

I've tried all of these and none worked on me. I got my brows microbladed last year instead.

umberellaonesie · 04/05/2018 15:25

Castor oil. I use it to remove my eye make up.
No worries about getting it in my eyes it doesn't sting.
Have lovely thick long eyelashes and brows need tamed regularly at threading bar

ClosDesMouches · 04/05/2018 15:28

Great, it sounds as if it's certainly worth trying castor oil. Compared to the price of the other two products i'll give it a go first. If it doesn't work I can move to a pricier option.

Where do you buy castor oil from? Are there any that are better than others?

AuntyJackiesBrothersSistersBoy · 04/05/2018 21:01

How long did it take to see a difference with the castor oil?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/05/2018 22:32

I have Revitalash brow (from QVC)
I bought a brow/eyelash set from QVC in early Jan , it is hideously expensive but it works .

I did a photo on my brows on NYE and now , the difference is amazing. I did a 3 day tint with Revoloution ( I'm not a High End make-up buyer at all) , my brows look a million times better.

My eyelashes are less of a worry, I wear glasses and rarely wear mascara , but my brows being rubbish meant my face didn't have the 'frame'

I gave DD the lash serum , she has good eyelashes anyway- now hers look like false lashes. People ask her if she;s had inserts or extensions even when they're naked.

I bought castor oil in H&B, but it made me wake up with claggy filmy eyes . I'll keep it though for my hair (bit messy but an overnight castor oil hair wrap is no effort)

I'm on the look out now for Revitalash on special offer.

One thing I'd say - the blue primer is 'ok' . The mascara is meh . The lash curlers are shit.
There are a lot of fakes out there. (QVC does a 90 day money back guarentee on it)
I don't work for QVC or Revitalash .

I just got cold pressed castor oil off amazon.
I massage into eyes to remove eye make up and wipe off with a warm flannel.
So no sticky filmy oil eyes in the morning.

frasier · 05/05/2018 11:58

Are you otherwise well OP?

I started to lose my brows when my thyroid became underactive. Other symptoms are tiredness, weight gain with no reason, aching joints...

ClosDesMouches · 05/05/2018 15:27

I'm fine frasier, I believe it's just part of the ageing process for me and the fact that I seriously over plucked them in the 80s. They never really grew back very well but now they're losing colour too so they appear quite sparse.

My lashes are still good, so I'll just stick to the castor oil on my brows for now.
I'm intrigued by the thought of using it as an eye makeup remover though, I can't see how it doesn't feel cloying?

Ypu could mix it with a carrier oil. Like jojoba or almond which are less thick.
But as I say I haven't had a problem warm flannel removes the clagginess

I use castor oil which I got off Amazon I think the company are called Naissance - I got the smallest bottle to test it out and it has lasted me ages.

To apply the oil I brought empty mascara bottles also from Amazon and brush the oil on nightly. I ensure that I get it right at the roots and just comb through the lashes.

My lashes look fuller and stronger now which I love. They used to fall out when I got super stressed but now they don't seem to!

Cath3081 · 10/05/2018 13:54

I've recently started using these eyedrops (Careprost) as a lash enhancer. Has anyone else heard about them? Apparently it's a treatment for glaucoma (an eye disease), but if you rub it in along your lash line, it's supposed to make your lashes grow really long.

I've been using it for a couple of weeks, and I think I can notice a slight difference. Just keen to hear if anyone else has tried them - or heard about them. Would love to get a second opinion as I'm a bit sceptical.

LesAnya · 10/05/2018 13:58

I use the HD makeup brow and lash booster, which is good but expensive for what it is. Definitely going to have a look for castor oil on Amazon now!
