What do you wear for a booze cruise?

As the title says! This will be my end of year outing with work in July. I have absolutely no idea what to wear. I’m tall and slim but quite curvy with boobs and waist if that helps with recommendations. I don’t really go out drinking or clubbing any more so don’t know what sort of thing to go for.

Help!

I just wore jeans a teeshirt

I imagine yours must be more formal...

elQuintoConyo · 02/05/2018 22:06

Um... Are you crossing the Channel for cheapo beer and spirits?

Or do you mean more of a pub crawl type situation?

Either way, black skinny jeans, cute top, cute heels, some sparkly jewellery.

I think it’s more of a pub type thing but people are already talking about dresses. That’s what confused me.

Where’s good for a going out top? I have (slightly too tight at the moment) Black skinnies.

Odd works do Grin

It totally wasn’t my choice!

Love the idea of a hoody and a bum bag!

Agree with others, I know a booze cruise to be a ferry trip over the Calais to load up the car with alcohol at the supermarche!

What do you mean? Maybe that's only a phrase if you live near Dover?

QuantumPixies · 02/05/2018 22:10

We live near a harbour. I think it’ll be a sail around with lots of wine.

Flat shoes if you're on a boat...

Bring euros, your passport, and keep checking that no one has pinched your bum bag.

It’s definitely not that sort of thing. Maybe booze cruise has a different meaning here. We’re all going on a boat for a few hours, drinking wine and getting off again (slightly less sober).

So more of a boat party then really? What age are you all?

QuantumPixies · 02/05/2018 22:18

Yes! Boat party. We’re mid - late thirties mainly.

"We live near a harbour. I think it’ll be a sail around with lots of wine."

Several years ago I went sailing on the Solent as a freebie paid for by one of our suppliers. It was a boozy affair with loads of delicious food. As it wasn't a huge boat and not at all formal everyone wore jeans and trainers and had warm coats. Heels are probably the most ridiculously impractical shoes to wear on a boat. Unless it is an upmarket cruise liner I wouldn't consider wearing a dress either.

What size of boat is it?

goose1964 · 02/05/2018 22:29

I agree with PP who said jeans, top and flat shoes. We did this as a works outing but no-one dressed up for it

QuantumPixies · 02/05/2018 22:37

Brilliant, thanks. Thinking about it, the people showing off skimpy dresses were the two young members of staff. I bet everyone else will be doing jeans etc.

In that case, jeans, flat shoes, warm jacket.

And for god's sake don't google the Marchioness!
