Are they a classic or a bit grandma?

Not keen in flipflops so thinking these are a bit better.

Am I deluded thinking they are classically very wearable or are they are hideous?

Americans seem to think they are very classic - I have seen young American fashion bloggers wearing them, but in this country they are very grandma I’m afraid!
