Tights for work in summer

If you need to wear tights for work through summer time, how do you keep yourself in tights? I've bought three pairs of sheers already and it's only been about a week since I changed over from opaques. Bare legs don't go down well in my working environment. I think I've tried most brands, and there's no economy in buy the cheapest types. I buy 15 denier rather than 10 so that they last a bit better. I use a laundry net bag and they go in the usual 40C wash - maybe that's an issue actually. Last year I bought a couple of pairs of Wolford whcih were brilliant and lasted really well, but they cost a fortune even on sale. I've also bought 3 for 2 deals on Levante and other similar brands. Just wondering if anyone has found a good formula or can compare notes a bit?

I used to find that hold-ups lasted better than tights- I think the hoiking at the top encourages ladders. Plus if one leg goes you can mix and match. And also the amount you spend has no bearing on how long they last, so get them from Primark.

I buy the multi-packs of 5 for £4 from m&s for work If I take them off as soon as I get home and hand wash them gently, they last 3 or 4 wears. I've found the expensive ones (wolford) ladder just as easily, although they do wash well and look / feel lovely. If I had plenty of money, I'd wear Wolford everyday, but realistically the M&S ones are perfectly adequate.

Hand wash.

Nude micronets. Love them. Laddering really doesn't happen, they last for ages. They can get holes around the crotch/thigh area (nice) but of course this doesn't mean you can't wear them.

Thanks all - good tips all round.

I find Wolford (and Falke) last much longer than cheaper pairs too. I keep a bottle of clear nail varnish in my desk at work and put a drop on at the slightest sign of a ladder. I'm another one who isn't keen on bare legs in the office!

on the basis they dont last long I just given them a quick rinse through and hang them to dry.

Where do you all work? I've always worked in offices and I thought some were fairly conservative, but people didn't wear tights when it was really hot.

If you can find them Dim tights are good
