Gimungous spot

I have a wedding to attend this weekend, and naturally the largest spot known to man is visibly evolving at a rate of knots on my nose. It’s bloody killer. But pain aside, does anyone have any miraculous remedies to bring it to a halt? It’s currently big, red, shiny, no head on it. Sorry 👀

Sudocreme overnight is good for bringing spots to a head & calming redness- there may be time for it to blossom & die before the weekend.

userxx · 02/05/2018 20:24

Origins spot remover, they sell it in John Lewis. It's been my saviour over the last 20+ years.

naebotherpal · 02/05/2018 20:26

Need to be the sudocrem!. Should have though of that! My nearest JL is 20+ miles away.

If that doesn't work dry a dab of perfume to dry it up quicker.

WowLookAtYou · 02/05/2018 20:40

OMG, I could have written this exact post. Major family wedding, been looking forward to it for 18 months, lost 3 stone, expensive new outfit. Spot brewing the size of Vesuvius. AngryAngry

Get yourself over to Sporner Corner. And take pictures! < rubs thighs>

Luckingfovely · 02/05/2018 20:45

No cream will help quickly enough. What you need is these if you have amazon prime:

Derma Rehab Spot Repair Hydrocolloid Patches Targeted Defence Against Pimples Spots Blemishes Blackheads Pack of 180 Gel Patches https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0156R11YK/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_ysH6AbXCAWWFD

They are amazing. You need to open the spot up at least a little bit, slap one on, leave it overnight, and it pulls out all the goo and deflates it. And then you take the little plaster off and your skin is 95% better. It has working for me on the mothers of all hormonal boils.

Luckingfovely · 02/05/2018 20:46

Ps in answer to original post - I have been known to resort to stabbing it with a needle and putting the thing on. And it's worked!

userxx · 02/05/2018 20:48

@LadyOfTheCanyon Christ on a bike I didn't know that place existed 😱

LadyOfTheCanyon · 02/05/2018 21:13

User -it can be fairly hardcore over there. Not for the faint hearted!

userxx · 02/05/2018 21:28

@LadyOfTheCanyon I went in there and the things I witnessed will stay with me. I'm pouring myself a large gin right now.

naebotherpal · 02/05/2018 21:35

🤢 good grief, that board. Do people actually post photos of feet on there??

OP posts:
LadyOfTheCanyon · 03/05/2018 06:39

Feet, fanjos, bumcracks. The love of sporn is greater than our care for dignity!

DillyDillyDally · 03/05/2018 06:43

Tea tree oil dabbed on with a cotton bud works for me

Goldenhedgehogs · 03/05/2018 23:10

Lady, I love your sentence. I would want it to be the name of a cut price brothel

QuestionableMouse · 03/05/2018 23:13

Do not put perfume on a spot. Perfume is not first aid equipment.

I'd try drawing it with heat... I use a face cloth soaked in hot, slightly salty water

hardlysurprised · 03/05/2018 23:15

Clearasil lotion. Hold a cotton ball doused in it on the spot. Regularly.

Eurax is a good quick remedy so dan frequently with that

myidentitymycrisis · 04/05/2018 00:14

Soluble aspiring crushed and made to a paste. Wear it when you go to bed

AllyMcBeagle · 04/05/2018 07:20

Is it any wear you can cover up? Eg if it's on your forehead could you part your hair and pin it in such a way that it is covered?

DragonsAndCakes · 04/05/2018 07:21

It’s on her nose, Ally

How is it this morning OP?

AllyMcBeagle · 04/05/2018 07:25

It’s on her nose, Ally

Oops I missed that. Ignore me then.

naebotherpal · 04/05/2018 08:36

Not too bad actually! This is It with concealer and powder, so hopefully with full slap tomorrow, I can go out in public. Only used sudocrem on it.
