Is this dress horrible?

I found this dress on ASOS, I just want a simple denim dress that I can wear in the summer, and maybe also with tights when its a bit cooler.

I am really unsure about the shape of the dress...will it be really unflattering?
I found the dress both on ASOS and Jack Wills website, however I am still not sure whether I should try it.

I would look awful in it with the waist on it - but then I'm old & overweight. I can imagine at least 3 of our interns wearing it and looking stunning!

Sizing is very true, I find the quality brilliant, they wash well and last. Worth the price but also check out the jack wills site because the have great sales

I like the style but it looks very short, thin and probably unlined, so wouldn't suit me as I have lumps and bumps that need to be covered. If you have the sort of figure the model has then the dress is nice.
