Hello everyone!😊

As the title suggests, I have started to challenge myself a bit in respect to style/make up/clothing as I have noticed that I wear only half of the clothes I own (If!) and even though I am a trained make-up artist (and work in corporate banking hey ho) I almost never wear lipstick (Wear make-up everyday, and own probably 50-60 lipsticks but wear them just sometimes).

So what I am trying to do is to create outfits with pretty much everything I own, change shoes and bags often (last week for example I wore convsrse 3/7), and wear a different lipstick everyday for 60 days & take pics

Since I am making changes with my general appearence, weight loss, style etc I would like to hear if you have any challenges or any habits you are trying to implement.

Thank you 😁

The only thing I have changed about my appearance in the last year is after following the advice of a friend...

You know that dress, that expensive top, that really lovely cardi, those beautiful shoes, that posh handbag, the good make up that you keep for "best" in the back of the wardrobe never likely to see the light of day again?
Wear the bloody things! Get them on and enjoy them.
If you love them, you feel good in them, wear them. Even if you are only going to the shops or if you can wear your own clothes, to work.

Started to do this and I've actually bought a lot less clothing and shoes in this last year because I inadvertently expanded my wardrobe with the things I already had.

@denisebest this is so right! I have quite a few things I don t wear because I think they re too "precious".

Spend money on daily wear items (coat, shoes), not occassion wear. Rarely go to parties anyway and when i do i can jazz up plain mid price dress with good make up or accessories. When i was younger i had this totally the other way round. But i get far more pleasure out of something beautiful i have everyday- although the challenge is to invest in quality not extra frills

I recently gave myself the challenge of not wearing an outfit twice to work until I had worn all of my clothes/dresses, although did make the suit/cardi exception - that I could wear my one suit once a week but had to wear a different blouse underneath and doubled up my staple cardigans of course.

I lasted 30 working days (!) I didn't get through everything either, but found there were some items I thought I liked but when it came down to it just didn't really want to wear. There were also lots of days where I really didn't feel that good in what I was wearing so have given away quite a few things as a result.

The plus side was I re-discovered a dress I hadn't worn since 2013. The downside is now I can't buy new work clothes without feeling guilty as I know I really do not need them at all.

I am always wearing the same kind of stuff, despite having a lot of clothes. It is so boring. I have not been styling it with tucks/half tucks/cuffing trousers and so on.
I have a lot of blazers and Chanel style jackets that I never wear.
I am challenging myself to use them more, and to wear more interesting outfits.

Someone posted a picture of a lady in a gingham shirt with khaki chinos a while ago, and this really inspired me - I have both the shirt and the trousers, but it would never have occured to me to wear them together. So now I am - and I feel so cool wearing outfits like that!

I am challenging myself to take chances with fashion and makeup - if it doesn’t work, it’s not a big deal and I can take/wash it off, but if it does work, it really boosts my confidence!

And wearing shape wear :)

I'm going through my wardrobe, I've already discovered several things I've forgotten about. One of which I've had so long it's back in fashion.
