Maintenance Laser Hair Removal Sessions

Last year I had laser treatment on my underarms - 6 sessions. I've had 3 more 'maintenance' sessions since. There are still a number of hairs growing, they're light and downy so I don't remove between sessions. Has anyone experienced this? I just wonder if I'll be having 'maintenance' sessions forever?

IME you will

What kind of laser did they use?

I've been having IPL and the sessions have been quite spaced out to work with the hair growth cycle, so six in a year sounds quite a lot. I only managed three last year as not all of the hairs are in an active growth phase at any one time. I'm just wondering if they really got all of the hairs for you?

Ellipse IPL hair removal is the type of laser used. I started last April I'd say and had them about every six weeks or so.

IPL is different from laser

IPL is intense pulsed light not laser hair removal

Didn't realise that, it's marketed as laser hair removal.
