I will attend a friend's wedding in Italy this summer (it will be boiling hot) and I don't know what to wear! Anyone else finds that summer dresses make them feel like a white, graceless whale? Confused

Anyway, I have three potential outfit options so far. Which one do you prefer? If you don't like any of them, please feel free to suggest another style (shopping for new clothes for this event could be on the cards). I am open to any suggestions!

Thank you so much!!

I know, it’s très chic 😍 and also making me want to lose a good stone and a half...😂

Not a huge fan of 40s & 50s styling myself, but if you love it then the two websites mentioned, Lindybop and pretty kitty have great choices.

This is amazing- www.chichiclothing.com/products/Chi-Chi-Lennox-Dress.html

Number one - it will be hot hot hot and you'll need something light in colour.
Maybe just different shoes.

Also love your floor 👍🏻

The first with a tan,or the second not too keen on the third.

No, definitley not something romantic. You need to forget everything you know about wedding-wear and think more cocktail party. Even at a country Italian wedding it unlikely anyone will be sporting anything floral.Or hats.

However, that's only if you want to look the same as everyone else.

this is rather nice. In fact quite a few lovely frocks in sale section of Yoox.

Silverstreaks · 01/05/2018 10:24

Number 1 is lovely and summery.
I really like the style of your shoes but the black would be too heavy with that dress. Time for new shoes (which is the best bit of shopping anyway).

gettingtherequickly · 01/05/2018 21:06

That would be my point twig why look like everyone else, go English Rose, be different, stand out. Why wouldn't you?

TwigTheWonderKid · 01/05/2018 22:28

I guess it depends how confident you feel gettingtherequickly Some people might enjoy standing out whilst others might feel uncomfortable not following the recognised dress code.

gettingtherequickly · 01/05/2018 22:29

Agreed, I'd just like to encourage people to be confident.
