I am crap at shopping and I’d love it if I could find a brand that suited me then I could just stick to it.

I am nearly 50 and a funny shape perhaps. I’m carrying about 3 stone extra, am top heavy with a G bust, straight waisted, long torso and short legs. I’m not particularly heavy hipped and still have a good bum.

I like natural fabrics and don’t need to dress for the office. I’ve been wearing sea salt but my sister says it makes me look like a lesbian art teacher, which is fine but not the look I’m after.

Have you had a look at Phase Eight? They make nice cotton and linen trousers (and probably other materials too). Also, I have found some nice pieces in Tesco/Sainsbury’s for office wear.

Bravisimo/pepperberry.
They are amazing. They have different options according to your "curviness".

I am very similar age and shape to you OP. I am 5!8”, but my back is very long, more typically the length of someone’s who is 6’ (I gave a custom build bike frame and the framebuilder told me this, he has trouble working out the geometry of my bike abs has a big chart if height/Leg length range/back length range - my legs and back don’t tally!

I gave up on Seasalt because DH said it made me look ljje an overgrown toddler. (He’s got a point - pretty much all their stuff could be feasibly Kids clothes if it was smaller).

I have no “go to” shop. My wardrobe is a mishmash of all sorts. I have a couple of White Stuff dresses that get worn a lot; work trousers from Uniqlo; Boden jeans; some jersey skirts from Thought; knitwear from Celtic and Co.

I struggle with tops - Phase 8 as recommended above absolutely no good if you have a long back. I mostly end up in plain. long line T shirts from Gap (Tall, online) or BAM (bamboo clothing, online - I love the Infinity T). Would love something prettier Beavissimo ok for the boobs (34f), but stops well short of my waist.

I also have size 9 feet. Sometimes I feel like a complete freak! 😄

I really like Oasis shell / cap sleeve tops for bigger bust and tummy - find them comfortable and flattering

Discovered this on a personal shopper trip John Lewis. Would recommend to find the brands that suit you. It’s free and there’s no hard sell
