Could you inspire me with some style?

A similar thread has inspired me to post, I have NO fashion sense at all and need some help. My job requires me to look presentable and fairly sophisticated so any ideas would be welcome.

I am 27, 5'5, size 10, non existent boobs, pale complexion, silvery grey hair.

I'm a dab hand with makeup and a good eyeshadow palette but from the neck down I look like Worzel Gummidge no matter how hard I try.

How the bloody hell do you know what to wear? I see some women and their clothes look so gorgeous, I would never think of pairing them up but it just works.

How do you do it? Teach me!!

Well, "what to wear" depends on a lot of things like your personality, preferences, what makes you feel comfortable etc, as well as what goes together. Shops have different styles and most people find they are drawn to some shops and not others. Do you have a particular style you like on other people or are drawn to? Eg dark colours, brights, prints, classic/traditional, vintagey, feminine, etc.? Have a think about that / look at magazines and see what you are most drawn to, then check out the shops that are mentioned and look for style blogs along those lines.

I love fashion magazines, even though I rarely buy anything they recommend, I like looking at nice clothes and being inspired, and getting a sense of what things I might like to try putting together. I think that just helps you get a feel for it all.

Also you could try a personal shopper - go to .a big department store like John Lewis where they have loads of different brands, and just ask for them to give you ideas. You don't have to buy the expensive stuff - I use ebay a lot, make my own clothes and get cheaper basics.

(On the plus side your size and shape means you'll have loads of choice!)
