It is a fine shirt you could probably get similar in M&s for £20.

mimibunz · 29/04/2018 18:03

I really like it. I would wear it with jeans or skirt. Very preppy.

ShmooBooMoo · 29/04/2018 18:04

Thanks GetTaeBed but I've found M&S often add polyester or viscose to the mix though and I need 100% cotton.
Thanks, mimibunz

Shouldn't this be in the 'Is this nice?' Topic?

ShmooBooMoo · 29/04/2018 18:07

There's an 'Is This Nice?' topic?

John Lewis have got 20% off mint velvet at the mo, might be worth seeing if they stock it?!

ShmooBooMoo · 29/04/2018 18:10

Thanks Killer!

Got one similar in HM. I like it.

hugoagogo · 29/04/2018 18:39

Those 'dobby' shirts always end up with grey fluff on the little spots when I have them; it's not a good look.

Rainydaydog · 29/04/2018 18:47

Only joking because of your thread title www.mumsnet.com/Talk/is_this_nice

ShmooBooMoo · 29/04/2018 19:44

Thanks, hugoagogo, good to know!

Ahhh, Rainydaydog Grin

It’s just a blue shirt? £69 really?

macnab · 30/04/2018 14:38

It's lovely. Having said that, I got a similar shirt (it's pale blue & white stripe) from Primark recently for around £10 - and it's 100% cotton.

Oly5 · 30/04/2018 14:40

I like it. And I’d spend that if the cotton is lovely

MrsPear · 30/04/2018 19:13

They have similar in next for 25 that is pure cotton

TeaAddict235 · 30/04/2018 19:18

It's a plain blue shirt

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 30/04/2018 19:20

I like it a lot in general, but don't like the sleeve fasteners.

DairyisClosed · 30/04/2018 19:23

But ugly. The pink and blue bust doesn't work.

ShmooBooMoo · 30/04/2018 20:19

Thanks for the heads-up, MrsPear I'll go and take a look! Smile

Thanks all Smile

I have a real problem with the sleeve roll up button system, I prefer a regular shirt with normal rolled up sleeves.......but that's just me Grin

hugoagogo · 01/05/2018 12:25

Those button thingies are a pain when ironing aren't they? and they look sort of silly when not rolled up.

Wildlingofthewest · 01/05/2018 12:28

It’s a plain, blue shirt? My husband has about 20 of them hanging in the wardrobe! There’s nothing interesting about it....
£69 is pretty steep for a bog standard shirt

hugoagogo · 01/05/2018 12:33

It's not a plain blue shirt Confused

Wildlingofthewest · 01/05/2018 12:43

Oh,my mistake.
It’s a basic blue shirt with pink dots on it.

WanderingTrolley1 · 01/05/2018 12:52

Not sure I like the pink dots. Blue would have been so much better. Don’t like the sleeve fastenings, either. No, not for £69.
