Help with dry skin

My skin is so dry in places. I've been using an oil but it's still so dry on my forehead. What will help please? I had a facial this week and my skin felt amazing afterwards
Think she used ylang ylang oil.

First things first you need to exfoliate your dry patches regularly. 2-3 times a week. You can buy an exfoliating brush specifically for use on your face (worked wonders for me). Don't have extremely long or very hot showers as this also has a drying effect on your skin. The very best face cream I've ever used for dry skin is the hemp cream by how dry shop, but wouldn't recommend if you also suffer with spots as it is quite oily. Coconut oil is my second choice (extra virgin!)

After years of expensive creams I am using Astral and my skin feels hydrated. I may have to use a lighter moisturiser in the summer but I am really happy for now.

I don’t find oil moisturising enough on its own. Thanks to a recommendation on here I’m now using Avene hydrance serum followed by avene creme hydrante and for the first time in years I’ve no dry patches at the sides of my nostrils and my skin doesn’t feel taught. I get it in Boots and am about to get both again now I’ve finished the first lot.

I like Eucerin dry skin cream with urea, works well for me.

I use coconut oil and Boots No7 Day cream. Also good old Nivea on drier patches but they are neither here or there now.

It's my forehead that is really dry and blocked pores on my chin. I cleanse every night and tone.
