I need help! I've been poorly a long time (also disabled) and haven't worn makeup regularly for a few years now. Slowly starting to feel better and have a couple of nights out in the next month but now I need the buy new makeup.

The mascara I'm after needs to be drug store or easy to get online and make my lashes as big and black as possible with lowest effort (think falsies without the faff of actual falsies).

I did go looking this weekend but there were so many that boasted all sorts of results (in Superdrug) that I was overwhelmed and left empty handed.

So please, what should I buy? Thanksin anticipation

Bourjois Volume Clubbing is pretty good. Nice and black and gives me nice spiky lashes.

I think the results you get with mascara depend a lot on what type of lashes you have to start with, it's not a one size fits all unfortunately.

Max Factor Masterpiece Max is my favourite that I keep coming back to

Two votes for Bourjois already!

Glam and Doll, it's about 4 quid, it's as good as the charlotte tilbury one I was using before I got a stye. I had to throw out a lot of eye make up and I bought some glam and doll stuff at a nearby chemist. I think it's really good!

W7 (loads of places sell it. Beautybase, B&M, The Range)

I got one that looks very like "They're Real" , used it today its pretty good

Or Aldi - random stock but they do some good make-up

I meant ''catrice'' glamour doll. Terrible name.

Max factor 2000 calorie - I won't use anything else. It's £7.99

Maybelline Lash Sensational Smile

Rimmel Scandleyes is really nice, big thick lashes without much effort!
