Dying satin shoes

I have a pair of dark brown satin heels which I never wear because they don’t go with anything. Would it be easy to dye them black?

Does anyone have any experience doing this at home or know where to go to get it done for a reasonable price?

I've dyed plenty of leather shoes and they've been fine.
Check the dye packet if it's suitable for fabric.
Polyester probably won't dye successfully.

I did it. It was easy. I was going for particular shade of pink and it wasn't the right shade in the end but theres no such risk with black.
