Summer stylish workwear for fatties! (Plus size)

It's getting to that time of year when I just want to call in sick for three months. I HATE dressing for work in the heat.

Most of the year I'm in thick black tights and brogues with lots of black and grey from Cos/M&S/ASOS Curve - midi skirts and nice tops

I'm a size 18-22 depending on what I'm buying with massive boobs and fat ankles with summer water retention. I need to look smart/formal but not conservative.

What's everyone planning on buying/wearing? I'm already dreading it

I know your pain. Could you wear linens or are they not smart enough?

Maybe take a look at Asda for cheap summer updates to your wardrobe. There are some nice linen mix trousers and culottes that will be nice and airy in the heat.

My favourite summer work outfit is a maxi dress with a blazer.
Also wide leg trousers or midi length skirts with bare legs.

There's a thread in Style and Beauty called Hot weather clothes for a Heffalump - not saying you're a heffalump! But there's lots of good suggestions on there.

BigFatBloomers · 28/04/2018 00:13

How about something like these wide leg navy linen trousers and patterned shirt or a plain white shirt.

Have you ever tried Navabi? They have loads of choice in larger sizes. Tends to be expensive but has good and regular sales.

BigFatBloomers · 28/04/2018 00:22

Cropped trousers and a tunic top

Thank you for the ideas. Will try and find the other thread mentioned!

Had completely forgotten about Navabi!
